Theory of Operation
This section describes the theory of operation for a
sampler. The following is the block diagram of the
sampler.

The sampler consists of the following blocks.
• Input multiplexer
•Sampler unit
• Analog-to-digital converter (ADC)
• Clock distributor
• Channel multiplexer
• Timing generator
• Sequencer and waveform memory
One sampler board has two channels. Each channel has its
own sampler unit and analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
Each channel has two input pins. The clock distributor,
channel multiplexer, timing generator, sequencer, and
